US has spent $650m on mobile sports games, Golf Clash alone accounts for $132.8 million
The U.S. spent $650 million on mobile sports games in the past year, rising to $648.8 million in the past 12 months, partly due to the ongoing impact of the pandemic.
That’s according to a new report from Sensor Tower, which estimates a 19 percent increase in revenue from June 2020 to May 2021 compared to the same period a year earlier.
Playdemic’s Golf Clash drove most of the spending, accounting for one in every five dollars, or $132.8 million.
Yesterday it was announced that EA has acquired Playdemic from WarnerMedia in an all-cash deal worth $1.4 billion.
