Epic Games Users Exceed 100 Million, Continue To Send Free Games In 2020

Epic Games announced that the number of users on the Epic platform has exceeded 100 million and that they have extended their free game plan to the whole of 2020, and continue to send free game works as presents. At the same time, the Epic Games store will sign more exclusive games in 2020.

Epic Games store made $680 million in 2019, and third-party games included $251 million in revenue. Epic CEO Tim Sweeney said that number was 60% higher than expected, and it can be said to have achieved considerable success. At present, the Epic platform has more than 300 million accounts, and 108 million of them have downloaded at least one game (free collection or paid purchase) on the Epic Games Store, which means that the actual users have exceeded 100 million.

Epic Games launched a free game policy since last year. So far, they have sent a total of 73 games, and Tim Sweeney said that the free games launched are more popular than expected, and everyone can pick up and install quickly. So they will continue to implement the free game policy in 2020.

In terms of platform-exclusive games, Tim Sweeney believes that Epic’s exclusive games mean that they can significantly help developers provide funds. At the same time, they can promote Epic and attract more players to the Epic platform.
