Insider revealed that “GTA 6” may have “Evolving modern Sin City”
GTA 6 has become one of the most anticipated games of the moment, and fans are eagerly waiting for any information they can get from R-Star about the next installment of the mega-game series. Although R-Star has been tight-lipped about the next installment in the series, there have been many leaks and rumors. Many of them are not very reliable, but maybe this time we can finally get some information about GTA 6 from a relatively reliable source.
Tom Henderson, a trusted leaker of information on 3A titles like Call of Duty and Battlefield, has revealed that GTA could return to Sin City with evolving maps, modern environments, and a female protagonist.
First Henderson claims that GTA 6 will take place in a modernized Sin City, modernized most notably for GTA: OL. If the story goes back to the 80s or 90s, it could lead to various restrictions on the online mode.
GTA: OL is a multi-billion dollar project for R-Star, and the company naturally wanted to keep the multiplayer online mode in the sequel. Except for the modernization setting, any other era setting would limit what multiplayer could include. GTA: OL now includes a variety of modern and even futuristic vehicles and weapons that would not have been possible in the ’80s setting.
Henderson went on to say that Sin City will return in some form, but the map is not expected to be as large as previously leaked. However, the map is expected to "evolve" with DLC updates and large plot events. The insider compared the "evolving" Sin City to the Battle Royale map in Fortnite as it changes with season updates and events. According to Henderson’s sources, players can expect each DLC update to bring new areas and locations to Sin City.
Henderson also said that the ability to switch between multiple playable characters at any time in GTA5 will also return in GTA 6 and that one of them is a smart, responsible female character who will be in charge of the technical and hacking parts of the story.
Finally, on the release date that everyone wants to know, Henderson brings bad news: for a variety of reasons, the release of GTA 6 will not be until at least 2024 or 2025. Many people may think that the reason why it will take another 3 to 4 years to release is that the game is still in the early stages of development, but Henderson denied this view. He said that according to him, R-Star is now very concerned about the well-being of its employees and is trying to prevent overtime and too harsh work schedules.
On top of that, GTA 6 will probably only be available on next-gen consoles and PC. There is currently a severe shortage of next-gen consoles, and this situation is likely to continue for a long time. So R-Star’s release date will be set at a point in time that will allow the game to sell more, which is not a good time to release the game given the current shortage of consoles.
The good news about the release date is that R-Star will not delay the release and will only announce a release date when they believe the game is 100% complete.
Tom Henderson said that none of this information is official and said that he is not an expert on GTA 6 leaks, so they may not be as reliable as his other leaks.
