Nintendo Switch’s New Firmware Built-In Secrets: New Switch May Support Dual-Screen
Nintendo yesterday for the Switch system firmware update, through the online update, the Switch system firmware version came to 10.0.0, this big version of the update to the Switch brings such as key mapping, data transfer and new user avatar and other content, but through the system firmware data digging deeper found that there are hidden new model Switch clues.
According to foreign user Mike Heskin’s data mining of Switch’s latest version 10.0.0 system firmware found that this major version upgrade added support for the new version of Switch hardware codenamed "nx-abcd". Three of the five new DRAM files in the new firmware belong to this mysterious new piece of hardware. It is said that the code used for the Switch Lite is "nx-abcc", while the long range version is "nx-abcb". In addition, the new Switch, codenamed "nx-abcd", is found in the code to support two video output interfaces.
Originally the Switch was able to transfer game scenes to large screen devices such as TVs via the dock, but the Switch Lite, while not weakening in performance, eliminates this feature. If the new Switch is able to support two video interfaces, it makes people baffling, does Nintendo intend for the dual-screen feature to be added? Or can the handle and TV be displayed at the same time like the already failed Wii U?
Previously, Nintendo President Furukawa has made it clear that the new model Switch will not be launched in 2020, but the Switch Pro, for which gamers are clamoring, may already be on the move in secret.
